With the growth of the sport, it seems we are getting articles everyday written by clueless sports writers. It also seems like most of them have little to no knowledge of the sports. Its obvious these guys are just big trolls.

So I've created this thread so we all know to ignore these articles and ignore the people that write them.

If you encounter an article unjustifiably bashing MMA, post a link to the article and we'll add the guy to the blacklist. After you post the link, I'll add the guy's pic and name to the thread. BE SURE TO DELETE the link after I post their pic so the guy doesn't get any hits to his site.

Let's stop this growing trend. Don't read anything these guys write, don't email them, don't post their articles, and let's not give them anymore hits to their sites.

Yaiir, I know Mike Freeman works for CBS.

I don't want to include a link, because I don't want to create more traffic for them. Just get familiar with the faces and familiar with the names.

AWESOME post!!! I've noticed a few bad articles but haven't bothered to keep the writer in mind, I will now though! On a brighter note, I find that a few of the writers for Sympatico are really good. One woman (forget her name) actually trains in MMA so she writes excellent articles and uses correct terminolgy. She was at the seminar GSP held in Toronto a few weeks back. I'll look for her name but she's right on!

Maybe we should be emailing these people and trying to educate them about MMA and why they are wrong, and show them that we are not all neandethals or redneck hicks.

This is more likely to make a change than the 100 or so hits that they wont get getting if FF blacklists them.

In order to justify his article, Carpiniello quotes Steve Acunto, deputy commissioner emeritus of the New York State Athletic Commission. He’s also co-founder of the American Association for the Improvement of Boxing. In other words, he’s an angry boxing legend who’s not thrilled about the rise of MMA.

“I think this Ultimate Fighting, it brings out the worst in people,” he said. “I think Ultimate Fighting satiates the barbaric lust of people who would watch cockfighting, dogfighting, bullfighting, or anything that has the ultimate results of hurting somebody, very badly. Very badly.

Very shortly, although it’s at its peak in Atlantic City right now, there will be some deaths from this thing. You can’t call it boxing. It’s not boxing. It’s not any one sport, per se. If you think MMA is going to get legalized soon in the state of New York any time soon, re-read what Acunto said. Then, there is the clincher from Acunto:

“There’s a lot of money in it, but I think it should be stopped in its tracks, like they should have stopped Adolf Hitler in his tracks. You’ve got to stop a bad thing before it catches on and overwhelms you.”

Acunto has just compared MMA to a primary mastermind of the Holocaust. Yes, he compared MMA to the person behind a historical event in which 6 million Jewish people were killed.

Despite Acunto’s old age, his shameful statements must be denounced publicly and in a strong fashion. He must be held accountable.

Personally, I want to blacklist this guy, but seeing him compare a sport to something as terrible as the Holocaust, I think he deserves some hardcore hate mail.

Bad anti-MMA fanatics.

Ugly idiotic words will not hurt MMA.

Misinformation is what hurts. Not confronting every anti-MMA point on the nose will hurt MMA.

I hope that Dana White, and all MMA fighters, work hard to counteract those wrong words from an idiot that compared MMA to Hitler.
