Default Chuck Liddell's book

I got this last week and I'm a few chapters in and so far it's a really good book. It's a bit of a page turner and is very well written.

He goes in to a lot of detail about his upbringing and there is a lot about his love of street fighting. He didnt have a particulary tough upbringing or anything, in fact, his childhood seemed pretty great.

I'm only up to the bit where he starts training with John Hackleman.

Anyone else read this? I recommend it. So far, it's a lot better than Matt Hughes book, which I found a bit of a struggle to get through.

Crazy! Ive just started it in the last couple of weeks too and Im up to pretty much the same point as you....where he meets up with Hackleman and they start training together at The Pit.

Some hilarious pictures in there too from his high school wrestling days!

I thought the book was so entertaining I ended up reading it in 2 sittings. A slow day at work and the same night before bed.

I agree about Hughes' book being a struggle to get through. Where Liddell's book made me a fan of Chuck's, Hughes' made me even less of a fan.

I've read this book also. Great book! I thought Hughes book was ok, but it was a bit boring at times. I've also read Pulvers and Ortizs books too, they're both pretty good also.

Absolutely right! I was a big Matt Hughes fan until I read his book!
The chapters on the ethos behind each martial art in Chuck's book are great. And his "History of the UFC" bit is worth buying the book for alone. If you are a new fan of MMA. I found out stuff I never knew. Like BJJ, actually came from Japan. I never knew that.
I got workout tips from it too! I was reading a bit on the bog in the gym this evening and read about Chuck's "Blackjack Drill". I started my workout with it!
