Over the years quite a lot of classic moments occured in all kinds of professional fighting. I would like to invite all of you to share these memories with the others, be it Boxing, Ultimate Fighting, Wrestling, anything - as long as it is professional, so please no streetfighting and such.
Post a Gif about it and/or write a short text explaining what happened, post an article about it, etc.
I would like to start with two moments in boxing that probably will never be forgotten ...
Lennox Lewis defending his WBC Heavyweight Title versus Vitali Klitschko, who replaced the Canadian Kirk Johnson who was unable to fight due to an injury. Probably one of the most exciting heavyweight fights ever, the big men trading shots. But Vitali Klitschko got cut in the third round, a cut that was the reason for the fight to end four rounds later ... boxing fans till today are arguing about what would have happened, had the fight gone on.
As I was watching the fight at home I was thinking "Damn, boy, that are some nasty cuts". I actually could not believe what I was seeing.
Lennox Lewis avenging his first loss as a professional boxer. Oliver McCall was the first man to knock out Lewis who took the rematch in order to prove something. In the third round McCall stopped fighting back, he was still avoiding some shots and sort of defending himself, but he stopped throwing punches. During the breaks between rounds he was walking around in the ring, not going into his corner. After the fourth round he started crying, but he went on to keep boxing, which in his case meant standing there and getting punched. The fight got stopped due to McCall's unwillingness to fight back.
