A friend sent me this. It is a sweet kick...
Knocked Out With A Tornado Kick
It is good to see university level MA.
Maybe they will start some MMA at that level...

I am just amazed that the guy got up and tried to walk. Also, the guy in blue-and-white is a black belt, while the guy being KO'ed is a brown belt. I could be wrong, but I think that a brown is two or three below black--or is one below? I forget, but the guy in blue is clearly more skilled.
Also, listen to that impact! That is a hard kick to the head.
As my friend said when he got up after being KO'ed: "Hijo de puta!"

It's Olympic Taekwondo fighting. This year's collegiates were in Boston. The kick thrown is a nadabahn or a turning roundhouse kick. Oh, and brown belt is one below black in Taekwondo.

Yeah? Cool. I wasn't quite sure which MA they were doing. I have not kept up with any of that in a long time. Thanks for clearing that up. Whatever you call that kick, it was sweet.

Unless you have a online DVD dealer, you can't watch the world games or US, Europe or Korea championships. They do give a decent chunk of airwaves during the Olympics. Baiscally Taekwondo is kickboxing with all the focus on kicks.

now that was some kewl lookin moves..... kicking with teh front of teh foot like that would have less impact then a shin connection though, i am surprised that the guy got up... i mean withough gear that guy would have been toasted. Tae kwon do is a kewl MA buit is all feet. my buddy is brown belt in it and he couldn't throw a punch to save his life. but he is one of the few that can kick a smoke out of your mouth.
