MMA @ Wikipedia.org
I did a search at Wikipedia for "Mixed Martial Arts" to see what they had listed there. I knew that they had a huge volume of BIO's on MMA fighters, boxers, pro-wrestlers, etc, etc, but I had not looked to see what they actually had listed under MMA. The article that I found was very interesting. What I like about Wikipedia is that members can edit and update information when they see mistakes. So, if you guys see a mistake on the MMA article, then you can register and fix it...

Anyways, that article gives a really detailed history of MMA going back as far as the Greeks and Pankration, moving up through the 19th century and pro-wrestling, then moving into the early 20th century, the Gracies, Japanese Shoot Wrestling, Antonio Inoki's variation in the 1970's, and eventually leading up to the Gracie Challenges in the 1990's and the early UFC and PRIDE FC...

Ya I like wikipedia, usually fairly accurate and written by someone who is interested in the subject.

I have written a few things mostly adding things to the pancrase article. there is a collaborative group all of MMA fans, really good stuff.

I was over at Wikipedia looking at some MMA profiles when I saw this link:Wikipedia: Wiki-Project Mixed martial arts It is the root page for the main MMA article that is listed in the first post of this thread.
