Pride Bushido 8 just proved to me that UFC's lower weight divisions are...
...better than Pride's Bushido roster.
****SPOILERS***
Phil Baroni ****ing beat Chonan in the first round with a 1:40 TKO. Phil Baroni, the man who struggled long and hard in the UFC's Middleweight division just beat onw of Bushido's top guys. Other than that I'm speechless...

I find it hard to believe that one fight speaks for an entire organizations division or quality of fighters.

I totally agree. PRIDE is strong, and like you said...you can't base it off of one fight. Maybe the guy he fought was off. Maybe he was a rare exception to PRIDE and just not that good. Who knows? But, to make that claim off of Phil Baroni, is going out on a limb, so to speak.

Just so Danny knows... Ryo Chonnan is a great fighter, I can't say anymore about that especially when I'm defending him against a guy that has likely never seen him fight in his life. Baroni is good and fast and strong. He's started training with a new crew from Hammer House and has stepped up his game since coming to Pride. He knew he didn't have a choice in the matter, either train for the win or stay on the losers limo till it rides you right outta the industry. With all that being said, I can't believe a fan of this wonderful sport doesn't realize that anybody can win a fight, it's that unpredictability that keeps us watching.

Did you see Baroni letting loose the waterworks at the end? Guys can cry tears of joy, but are you still "Bad Ass" afterwards?

Chonan isn't that good I bet on Chonan to win but I didn't bet all my points because when Baroni beat Minowa it was a shocker. Chonan has a dumb open guard just like Chuck he had his guard down the fight and got hit on the chin. He does this in all his fights I said to myself Chonan can win in the long run because of stamina but in a slug fest no sorry. I think minowa lost to Baroni cause he was tried Baroni didn't knock him out BUT those punches did rock him though and I think Minowa has a better chin than Chonan and is better than Chonan and when I saw they set Baroni up with Chonan I said why so he can have another win. Well even though I thought this I still bet on Chonan like an ass just because he was the Favorite. I think I got off track.....what was this thread about

Kimo should stick to K-1 and Minowa is really under rated to me his losses are to like the top fighters in Pride his first fight was againest Silva. Those japanese fans are crazy if I was a japanese fighter and all the fans wanted me to fight Silva I would say kiss my ass give me a push over
