This is what I love about MMA.

Guys like on that video.... It's a mix.

This is why I dont like (forgive me) guys like Cung Le.

For those not from the San Jose area, if you oppose Cung Le in this area? You're not talked to. If you oppose Cung Le as not being the next unstoppable MMA guy in this area? You're looked at as a freak!

If you oppose Cung Le period?????????

It's because you oppose San Shou!

And that's what I DO NOT like about some fighters. They'er still trying to play the game (and i'm not saying Le is this way) that their style is best.

But let me tell you what Le said in his win the first time on March 10th, 2006 where I was in attendance at the HP Pavillion after he won vs. some dude from houston (Cung Le) "I know this is my first MMA event and MMA win. But I will always be a San Shou fighter and always will be. Win or lose in MMA or San Shou, I'll never disrespect San Shou. I'll be a San Shou fighter first and MMA fighter second!"

Now me as an MMA fan took that as disrespectful. And still do. Maybe you disagree, but for some "san shou" guy or whatever (even knowing the art of san shou myself) took that (and many MMA guys as well) as DISRESPECT!!!!!

Until Cung Le proves himself against a legit MMA fighter, no disrespect to Le and all his spinning kicks........

I'm not convinced!

What about him and Razor Rob fighting in an MMA event even though I know Cung Le beat him in San Shou events.....

Let's see the two get it on in an MMA event... I'd love that!

True. I agree with you on this. Eventhough alot of Cungle's fans won't. I myself find that scissor won't have any affect on a real mma fight, which is his best weapon. And what's good is a take down when do not have a GnP plan or submission techniques to follow, MMA is not a point system fight. I do not dislike him, but honestly think that he won't make it far in the MMA fight game, when matched with a decent mma fighter.

and spinning kicks, unless you're really quick and accurate like GSP, it only brings dissadvantage to the kicker, giving up so much, leaving yourself wide open right after the kick.

I agree. Like I said, I have nothing against Le. He's an exciting fighter to watch. I do not like his little fan base though particularly here in San Jose that go around basically saying he's unstoppable in any type of arena of fighting.

This simply (not yet anyway) is not the case.

In other words, you don't see Razor Rob running around just because he's 33-2 in Muay Thai and known all over the world say he's the best MMA guy out there. He knows there's a difference, as I'm sure Le does. Unfortunately a lot of his fans do not. They've even gone as far as saying Muay Thai was born from San Shou.

Better not repeat that belief in Bangkok folks.
