Default Dan Severn denied fight license.

Dan Severn denied license by CSAC

Taken from GracieFighter.com

"Dan Severn has been denied a fighter's license by the California State Athletic Commission. He was to be in the main event of a new organization's debut show in California, however the CSAC ultimately denied his license and this could very well be the end of the 52 year old fighter's career in the Golden State. It is unclear why the Commission ruled as it did but there was speculation that Severn did not pass the stringent tests the CSAC requires of fighters over the age of 35."

looks like the beast is being forced to go into hibernation.

I've heard a lot of rumors throughout Northern California too thathe's been real beligerrent at bars after knocking a few back. Challenging people to fights for like $500 a pop if they can beat him.

So maybe the CSAC got wind of that too and decided he's a ticking time bomb.

I stopped liking Severn since UFC like 5 when he said in this sarcastic cocky smirkly smart ass way after beating some dude Severn goes "That's Grecco Roman Wrestling. It's the most complete combat style in the world. Nobody can beat a Grecco Roman Wrestler. Not a karate guy, a kickboxer, a jiu jitsu guy. Nobody."

I hate and hated that comment and he lost me since then!

I think it's really important for a fighter to retire with his dignity intact. I hope Dan does so.

Not if he couldn't catch you. You saw what little Genki Sudo did to Eric "big tub of lard" Butterbean . Yes I know Dan Severn has/had more skill than Butterbean.

Frank Shamrock: That was a huge knee!
Mike Goldberg: That knee was big!

Stephen Quadros: Frye's getting the standing 8-Count here, Bas
Bas Rutten: Why's he getting the standing 8-Count?
Stephen Quadros: Well, he's getting his ass kicked.
