That was great. The O'Reilly interview (or should I say attack) was a horrible display of journalism and nobody watching it got any idea as to what the sport was about or anything worthwhile. Matt Serra is great PR.
Funny stuff. I wish they hadn't cut them off so much though.

See? This is exactly what we're talking about when we agree that fighters have to be articulate ambassadors for the sport. Everyone in that thread about Liddell's nyquil-numbed interview in Texas who said that he has no responsibility to do anything but fight should watch this. It was a high-profile opportunity for a fighter to come in and represent the UFC and tell America (again) that it's a legitimate sport with a lot of rules, full of highly-trained and dedicated athletes, and Matt Serra did a really good job. Had he come in and slurred something about wanting to trade hands with Tommy Morrison before falling asleep on camera, Fox News would have partied with every second of nasty press they could get out of it. Way to go, Matt.

Sure, but it also has a lot to do with choice. Chuck obviously was a bad choice, I don't get the impression that he cares about being a celebrity. They would have been better off choosing Randy or even Rampage, you can guarentee Rampage would soak every minute of air time and would probably be one of the last guys to show up bombed. I don't know what their criteria was for choosing Chuck but i'm sure they're reevaluating that equation now.
