btw, the few Calzaghe fights Ive seen have been from Cardiff (pretty much his hometown). Why is that?
The stadium there holds over 40,000 for boxing and every time Joe fights there, they sell out, making for a huge gate and great atmosphere.
What is interesting is the start time. 9pm EST means it will start in Wales at 2am. I've double checked and that is indeed the case. Promoter Frankie Warren really wanted it to be shown live in the US to continue to build Calzaghe, thus the deal he made with HBO to start it at 2am local time in Cardiff.
