This is a very hard game to pick. Will the defense that showed up last year for the Colts come back? Who knows, but I’m going to gamble and say yes. If the Colts could establish a good run defense early and shut out LT, that would hurt the Chargers in every respect. Rivers would have a harder time passing with no run and the chargers Defense would be on the field if LT can’t get first downs. Harrison should be playing which will warrant the respect of any DB even if he isn’t 100%. Manning and the Colts lost to the Chargers they last 2 times they faced them, perhaps this is where Manning seeks some revenge. I’m picking every other underdog this weekend except the Chargers. It is a lot of points and I should probably pick the Chargers…but my gut is saying Colts.

This is why I hate the spread.....I'm really confident that the Colts will win but by 10 or more points? I don't know about that one.

I think the Colts will win by an amount very close to the spread, and so I am hesitant to bet a lot on this one. But in the end I bet that the Colts will win and cover.

They have stay within 9.5 points. Basically, if you add 9.5 points to the Chargers' total and it puts them ahead, you win.

I know this was answered, but I figured I'll try to answer it in the easiest way possible for anyone else who may be confused...when looking at the spread just look at either the +9.5 for the Chargers OR the -9.5 for the Colts. When the game is over either add 9.5 to the Chargers score or subtract 9.5 from the Colts score and that will determine the winner against the spread.

Even more of a shocker is that LT went out with an injury earl in the second half and Rivers went out for a few critical final drives...and they still marched down the field...the biggest difference this post-season is that the Colts D didn't come to play...what a shame considering how well they played throughout the season...too bad I didn't pick with my gut
