7.5 is a no brainer as far as I'm concerned. I'll be going with the Giants for sure. They are playing well and the Cowboys didn't exactly finish the season well.

What's with the 1.06 and 0.88 odds?

That's the return you will get. If you bet the .88 and you win then you will get back 88 points for every 100 points bet.

Typically I think this is the way the house always guarantees itself to make money. Vegas' main goal is to have equal betting on both sides that way they all always win.

Ya, I should have evened it out to be one team is favored by the amount the other team is an underdog....to cut out the "houses take".

I think the intangible for this game are the Giants rookies. Bradshaw, Toffelson, Hixon, etc.

They have really come in and just infused some mega energy into the offense, special teams, defense.

They're quick, good hands and aggressive. And it's a thing of beauty to watch so late in the season because they're coming in for the first time in the season to help the very banged up Giants.

One stat I didnt know until last Sunday about Brandon Jacobs.

That big SOB had 1,009 yards this year. Even though he missed 4 games due to injury. That to me is freakin insane for a runningback who's 265 lbs.

Should be a good game. 34-20 NY I'm predicting

Going with the over in this one. They both have a lot of turnover, and a lot of big drives.

I'll be putting some points on my G-men for sure!

When I saw the spread on this game I felt like Matt Hughes watching Serra beat St. Pierre: " I Love it, I Love It!"

Thanks...I meant where did the 1.06 and the .88 figures come from? I don't understand why it's not 1.00 or .90 for each if there is a point spread.

(Don't get me wrong - I'm glad those LSU odds were 1.14)

I'm pretty sure Dallas hasn't covered a point spread in quite some time whereas the Giants...

Its because I have to convert the odds to a format the vbookie will accept. In the states, we use + / - 150 for example. In the UK, I believe they use odds in fraction form such as 1/1 or 4/1 for example. In Japan, I believe its with a decimal point. Anyway, I get the odds from a site here in the states and the vbookie needs it in the UK format, or fractions. So, I plug them into an odds converter and it gives the fractions and thats what I put into the vbookie. Then, it displays the fraction and decimal form of the odds. The decimal form wont always come out to something even like .9 or 1.0 since it was converted. Thats why there are sometimes goofy looking odds.

That's good to know Jras, and pretty neat to be able to make it universal for everyone.

Romo as seen last year. Choked when it came down to it. Wade Phillips? 0-2 in playoffs. Unhealthy Owens? Not good for the 'boys. Manning and Giatns pumped up and on fire? Dallas has no chance. Garcia couldn't beat the Giants three time in the playoffs in his career. And I don't see Dallas beating the Giants three times in a season. End of story.

Ahh, there's a method to the madness after all.

Thanks for the info, Jras.

Cool

The Cowboys have never beat the same team three times in a season and post season. They have already beaten the Giants twice during the regular season. I am hoping that Dallas can pull off the hat-trick, LOL. I am not sure if TO is playing or not. That could be a big deal in the outcome of this game.

BTW, me being a Giants fan since the Rodney Hampton days (lol), I didnt know that this is the first time both the Giants and Cowboys have played each other in the playoffs.

Interesting with all those great Dallas teams of the 90's and Giants teams of the mid-80s and early 90's, they never played each other in the playoffs.

Should be a VERY interesting game. IMO the only true 50/50 game of this weekends contests.

Now that's a blast from the past. So are you a Scott Norwood fan, too?

The Giants are a team with a ton of momentum…almost beating the undefeated Patriots and dominating the Buccaneers after giving up an early TD…The Cowboys, on the other hand, have no momentum and have played rather sloppy heading into the playoffs. So pick the Giants, right? I do believe that the Giants will cover the spread but I don’t know about a win just yet. Eli had a good game last week and the week before…what do we know about Eli and the G-men…it's that they are inconsistent. They were a team, until a week ago, couldn’t beat a team with a winning record. We don’t know if good Eli or bad Eli will show up. I'm suspecting that Eli and the Giants will play well enough to cover, but not to win (so long as we see the Cowboys team that was around earlier this season).
