3 to 1 odds due to the importance of this fight - the Interim WBC Heavyweight Title. Champ is Vitali Klitschko.

Hasim Rahman once knocked out Lennox Lewis with a good right hand.
Monte Barrett improved since his loss to Wladimir Klitschko I think - good performances against undefeated Joe Mesi and Dominick Guinn for instance.

This is going to be one hell of a fight, an equal balance of skills, near identical height.. cant wait to see this one. Giving Rahman the nod

I agree with you on this. Rahman is ready to become champ again I am sure. He is so strong and fortunately motivated again (I have been waiting for this to happen). Hope he is really focussed on Barrett and not too busy thinking about beating up Klitschko already.

As it seems the fight was moved to August. Of course I will change the due date as soon as I know the date of the fight for sure. Feel free to place your bets already, if you want.

Rahman looked awesome against Meehan..but i suppose that dosent say overly much. I still think he has the power and the pure boxing skill to take out Barret. If he dosent finish him within 3, he will UD him fairly easy. Hopefully both men come in fit, as im sure we all know that Rahman can add on the pounds if he isnt focused in training.

Mh.. I donīt know. Rahman is not exactly a predictable fighter.. He might come in and get knocked out in 3. Iīm going with Barret.

I reopened it until 7pm EST. Next time don't wait until the last minute. This bet has been open for months now.

Is this a lecture on how to place bets? I appreciate that you re-opened the bet, but I am not going to listen to a lecture about how long a bet was open for and what I should do next time. I wait for my points to go up. I wasnīt even a member "months" ago.

Neither did I ask for the bets to be re-opened. I simply pointed out that a bet should be open until a few hours before the fight, since anything can happen.

Why do you think I havenīt bettet on Fedor and CroCop yet, or the Pride GP. Who knows what is going to happen till then. News might come out of Fedor coming in the fight with the flu, or slight cold.. or whatever. These are things one should be aware of, before placing a bet, thatīs why most people donīt bet on a fight until right before the fight. The only reason I betted on Liddell and Horn was, that was my first day on the site. And I wanted to try it out, with 174 points. Now that I want to place 5000 points on a fight, I am not going to do it 8 weeks in advance.

Seikan, why don't you place your bet finally? LOL
I understand the point you were trying to make (which is why I waited for the weigh-in), but Exit got a point, too: the due dates are visible to everybody.

I persoanlly would love to place my bets directly after the stare-down 5 seconds before the bout starts. LOL The look in their eyes tells a lot.

This isnīt even an event I like to place a bet on, only a fight to make some quick points.. so I placed 1000 on Barret. Both fighters are very unpredictable. And you are right about the due date being visible, but since the fight is on a Saturday.. I figured whatever date is in thread is a Saturday.

Man you need to relax. What I said was far from a lecture. This bet has been open for a very long time now and you have been a member for over a month. The closing date is very clearly stated at the top of the bet. I find it hard to believe that you didn't see this bet until today. We have had bets in the past that closed the night before. There is a big difference from betting on a fight the night before and "8 weeks in advance."
