Default De La Hoya v Forbes *Spoiler*

DLH by UD I scored it 119-111
Decent fight I thought, very clean all the way through. DLH's power and size the fundamental difference really!! Some nice exchanges, but I still think DLH has wrong gameplan for PBF. He keeps his head centre and stalks still. Good to see him using his jab at last! I've always thought that the jab, apart from his left hook, was his best punch. He won rounds when he used it against PBF.
Big respect to Stevie Forbes, He was totally out-muscled and out-punched, but kept on fighting back. He has got some very fast hands. The only thing I will say about him is, DAMN him for not going down before round 9 as he lost me ALL of my points. I am now a pauper!

Also I have got to mention the undercard, which was fantastic. That Ortiz kid has got some power! That was a great fight. He beat his man in 5. At 21 he has a superb future.

Another 21 year old Daniel Jacobs really impressed me in his 1 minute fight. Jacobs is 6-0 (6KO) a former junior olympic gold medallist. He has a great ability to turn a punch. Ther first knockdown was beautiful! Short straight to the ribs into an uppercut! He has all the makings of a star
Golden boy seems to have a ton of exciting young prospects

I honestly believe that Oscar may beat PBF in the rematch and having Maywether Senior training him may play a big factor. He probably knows PBF better than anyone I would imagine.....

Yeah, Having Snr in his corner will make a massive difference I think too. Thats the thing with these Mayweather re-matches. DLH is Obviously gonna try something different, i.e new trainer, we saw a slight change in style in the forbes fight. It will be interesting to see if Hatton brings anything new to the table against Lazcano. Although style-wise, the Malignaggi fight in the Autumn will be a better indicator. Malignaggi is like a white Mayweather without the power!
