Default Boxing vids

Found a post over on the Subfighter forums that has the links to hundreds of boxing vids. Apparentely its been all over the net and is credited to a Hungarian website. I figure it might be worth it to post the link here as there are some great classic fights on there.

Tons of Boxing Vids

Watching Bowe vs Lewis again, from the Olympics in Soul, makes me remember how they ripped Bowe off. That fight should have never been stopped. In the first round Bowe was beating Lewis´s ass, and in the second Lewis got a couple of good shots in, but nothing, absolutely NOTHING to stop the fight for. Lewis did NOT deserve that Gold medal, plus he had a walk by, because his opponent failed his medical in the semi´s.

So true SK, so true. Bowe was winning that fight IMO as well based on round one but in the process of losing round 2, before the premature stoppage. And lord knows Lewis used to trumpet that victory to anyone who would listen. Bowe is one of the few heavyweights of Lewis' generation that matched Lennox's height and weight with the skills to go with it. Its really too bad they didn't get to match up as professionals.

That was the same Olympics in which Roy Jones Jr. got the biggest screwjob in history when he hammered the Korean for three rounds and then lost the decision. From Wikipedia...
Quote:
Jones represented the United States at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. His participation there proved to be controversial when he lost a highly disputed 3-2 decision in the final. Jones lost to South Korean fighter Park Si Hun, despite pummeling Park for three rounds, landing 86 punches to Park's 32. Allegedly, Park himself apologized to Jones afterwards. One judge shortly thereafter admitted the decision was a mistake, and all three judges voting against Jones were eventually suspended. Most observers still believe the judges were either bribed or otherwise coerced to vote for the local fighter by Korean officials. However, the official IOC investigation concluding in 1997 found no wrongdoing, and the IOC still officially stands by the decision. Ironically, Jones was still awarded the Val Barker trophy as the best boxer of the 1988 games. The incident, along with another highly disputed decision against American Michael Carbajal in the same games, led Olympic organizers to establish a new scoring system for Olympic boxing.
