Tougher Fights - Holyfield or Ali ?
Who had more tough fights, or tougher fights?
Muhammad Ali had some really hard fights I believe, for instance against Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Ken Norton, and more.
Evander Holyfield fought tough opponents in Michael Moorer, Riddick Bowe, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, etc.
What do you think? It is hard to say, isn't it?

Yeah, I have to go with Ali.. He went through 3 wars with Frazier, 2 wars with Norton, who broke his jaw. Letīs not forget the fight against Foreman. I truley believe nobody would have survived the beating Foreman put on Ali, but Ali being the great boxer he was, knew exactly what he was doing. Those 6 fights alone, are some of the toughest in history. Holyfield had some good wars with Bowe. But nothing compared to the Rumble in the Jungle.

The more I think about it, the more I am convinced it has to be Ali.

No question about it. Ali, all the way. Yes, Evander fought some decent opponents, and some epic battles, but most of the guys listed, for Holyfield, wouldn't have even been a factor, in the grand scheme of things, when Ali was champ. Lewis for sure would've been, and maybe Bowe, depending on how much of his heart he put in it.

Who gave Muhammad Ali (formerly known as Cassius Clay) his toughest fight? A couple of his 'wars' were mentioned in the thread already, but which one was the toughest one to go through?

was that the one frazier retired after r14? if it was then yeah i remember ali saying it was the closest to death he'd ever been so if ali says it was the toughest it has to be. foreman left ali with blood in his urine for a week! ali had the tougher fights no question of a doubt.
