Nick diaz fighting in September
Jake Shields and Nick Diaz will both be fighting for ProElite FC in September. The organization is still working out the final details for the venue, however ProElite president, Gary Shaw, has confirmed that he is committed to having a show in September and that Shields and Diaz will be on the card.
Jake Shields will be fighting in the welterweight division while his team mate, Nick Diaz, will be fighting at lightweight. Shields is on a steady course to fight for ProElite's Welterweight Championship Belt and the September show appears to be his last fight before a title fight. Diaz 's fight will be his debut into the organization and he has expressed an interest at staying at the lighter weight class. We will be announcing their opponents next week.

Excellent news.
I think the LW division is a better weight class for him.

Yeah Diaz is a threat especially in this Org. and weight class. Its good to see him fighting again, after the whole mary jane incident. The Ufc hates him but he will still own in EliteXC.

EliteXC will have a tough time finding somebody that can give Diaz a good fight at LW. No offense but besides KJ Noons and Crazy horse who does EliteXC have for LWs?

I am looking forward for Nick to fight again. Too bad he can't come back to the UFC, the reason, why I don't know.

Not sure if its gonna be Noons now after this little coment/
MMANEWS.COM | K.J. Noons Says Injury May Prevent Nick Diaz Fight
The following is an excerpt from a MMAScoops.com interview with MMA fighter and pro boxer K.J. Noons talking about the possible fight against Nick Diaz at the next EliteXC show:
MMAScoops.com: I mean we know Nick Diaz is out there, do you think he can make 155 lbs?
K.J. Noons: Well you know again, my hand (referring to his possibly newly broken left hand that he mentioned earlier might have been broken in his fight against Andre Berto) ...
MMAScoops.com: Oh yeah, thats right I forgot.
K.J. Noons: I mean I won't know for the next couple of hours (the extent of the hand injury), but if it was better and Nick Diaz didn't have an opponent, I know there is a lot of other guys out there that are in the top ten and are probably more qualified. But I'm sure nobody else could give him a better fight than me.

kj can talk all he wants, but i don't believe he is a top 155lbs fighter at all, diaz would stomp him. i loved it when crazy horse shut him up after all that garbage he was saying, i hope diaz does the same.
