John McCarthy vs. Matt Hughes
Gah, nobody pays attention to McCarthy...
The guy's an LA police officer, he was trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by Rorion Gracie, gaining certification as a "GRAPLE" (Gracie Resisting Attack Procedures for Law Enforcement) instructor, and his black belt in 2007.
I'm wondering what would happen if he was up against a wrestler like Matt Hughes...

I think the size difference alone would allow him to manhandle someone of Hughes stature. Yes, Hughes is strong but McCarthy is much larger and Im sure just as or more strong than Hughes. If he has his blackbelt in BJJ, then he would be really tough on the ground. Just dont think Hughes would be able to do anything to win. However, thats all said knowing they would be in way different weight classes and it wouldnt really be fair to Hughes.

Depending on how long they went. I think if it was the 3 round then Hughes would take it based on cardio

Hughes would only have 2 options, stand and exchange which might go either way ,or try n take him down and rain bombs nonstop! lol.

Hughes fights at 170 but probably walks around at 190 when not in intense training for a fight. Big John does have some good credentials but he lacks the in cage experience that Hughes has. If it was'nt for the size difference i would say Hughes all the way. Just the same i don't know what Big John could do to put Matt away. In a street fight where anything goes i'd give an edge to McCarthy.
