Id love to have seen this fight!

At HW I think Igor would have a good chance of taking it, but at LHW Id give it to Wandy. Igor just never looked the same at LHW as he did at HW.

Too true, Igor just never seemed to get things together at 205 and towards the later part of his career just was'nt big enough to really compete as a heavyweight. A real shame there was'nt a 205 to 225 division or something along those lines. Although i am sure there will be sometime in the future as more people train MMA.

Same as you, Igor at heavyweight and Wandy at 205. although i believe even at 205 it would be a hell of a fight. Things would be even crazier if the rules for the fight went back to old school Vale Tudo. Headbutts, no gloves, that would be a war. It would'nt even be new territory for either guy since they've both fought under those rules.

Igor won quite a few big fights in the early days of Pride, he wiped the floor with the best they had to offer at the time. Against Silva it would be a striking match and I believe that Igor has better technical strikes and a lot more power. Igor's losses have all come by decision or submission on the ground (with the exception of the Crocop fight). Wandy would want to keep the fight standing, Igor's size advantage and ground game would be too much for Silva to do anything meaningful on the ground imo. I also don't think that Wandy would out-point Igor as Igor is the better technical striker. I pick Igor by KO.

Its a super close fight and almost happened at the last ever pride event. I would have to go Wandy just because of how much more consistent he was. Igor was real hit or miss over his career sadly.
