Lesnar will always be at a disadvantage skillwise against Fedor. The differance in total years training will never favor Lesnar. With that being the case Lesnar would be wise to use his size and strength advantage and use skills that are enhanced by them. Such as GnP with a strong submission defense. Which is basically what he is doing already with just two years of MMA training under his belt. What can he learn in 2 or 3 more years? Alot. I actually think he learned more fighting Mir then he learned in his two years of MMA training. He learned that its not easy to just pound down a former champion using brute strength. So, if he were to fight Fedor in a few years time i think he would have learned to better hold position, better submission defense along with making his strikes count and not just throw down 600 hammer fists that don't have the benefit of his 265 pounds behind them. If Brock could get the takedown, maintain top position and hit Fedor with Strikes that have some real power behind them i think he could pound out Fedor. Problem is, no one else including another great wrestler in Mark Coleman has been able to do that. Brock does happen to be bigger and more athletic so who really knows.
