LOL, I seen someone drop 100lb bar off the incline bench press onto their face.

I like Crashti's method more, if you happen to slip and drop the weight a medicine ball does less damage. Another version I have heard is you add a rep where you lower the weight to your thighs then raise it above you head.
I wouldn't try that with the two plates though I think it would be easy to lose control of them and drop them on to your head.

Haha, that has catastophe written all over it with plates!

I read about this exercise in a Men's Health article, and I love it!

Take two plates of equal weight, five or ten pounds usually, unless you're a monster:). Place them together, smooth side out, and hold them vertically together in front of you, against your chest, so the pressure of your hands is the only thing keeping them from crashing to the floor. Now extend your arms straight out in front of you, pause at full extension, and bring 'em back in, done! Do a few sets of ten, or however many you see fit for your specific workout. I like to do them after a heavy chest/shoulder workout, makes me feel good inside:D

This is probably pretty well known, but I just discovered it and thought I'd share the knowlege with you studs:sport-smi8

i use a 20lb. medicine ball and have similar results. You not only have to hold the weight you have to squeeze it so that it does'nt fall to the floor. good exercise for sure.
