Avoid foods with lots of sugars in them...obviously junk food, candy and the like, but white bread, white rice, excess of potatoes, fast food, white starchy pastas. Eat whole grain breads and pastas, eat 6 smaller meals a day...and cut down approximately 500 calories a day. Also eat lots of lean meats and protein. And like Matt said exercise.
