i only shave my head with the lowest setting of the clippers. I rarely hit it with a razor. i've had the best luck with a standard razor, never used the headblade. I also always made sure to shave my head after a shower so that the hair is softer and easier to run through with the razor.

Same thing. Only shave with the clippers. And after I maade 4 line like Belfort
Haven't cut it that close for awhile now, but I only go as close as the clippers will get me without any guards. I have some knots on my head that i'd rather not try to hit with a blade.
