Default Bas Rutten's Big Book of Combat

here is a book that i think should be in everyone's home library. Bas Rutten's Big Book of Combat Vol.1 and 2. i don't own them yet but i have read wonderful reviews about them. they are an in depth look at just about every technique that applies to MMA and NHB. i found them at Amazon.com for $99 for the set. i personally like books so i will be ordering these up soon.

Actually have both of these, great books. Check out the 7DVD 'DVD's of Combat' if you ever get a chance.

i paid $100 for the set and got the companion audio CD's for free. not a bad deal and after looking them over and listening to the cd's these are easily some of the best training aids i have owned. Rutten is a smart fighter.

I know what you say is true, but $100 is a lot to fork over when you don't have excess cash flow.

I haven't seen it, but I've heard it is just an awesome book/tape. It's kinda pricy, at least for me, coming in at a little over a hundred bucks, but Amazon.com does have it at a used price for about half that cost. Check it out. Bas has a wealth of information to pass on. Even a lot of the pro MMA guys seek him out for training tips/lessons. I'd love to see him fight again.

Bas is definitely one of the smartest fighters.

I've seen some clips of him giving alot of guys training, even Bob Sapp got some boxing/combo lessons from him.

Dunno if I should say this or not but I'm just gonna throw the info out there...

if anyone has bearshar, there is a copy of Bas Ruttens Big Book of Combat in pdf format that you can download. I downloaded it and reviewed it and liked it so I bought my own real copy. I definitely belive in supporting people who dedicate so much of thier life to a sport but maybe some of you guys on the fence can get a better idea.

If any of the mods think this info should not be on here then go ahead and use your Mod powers.

I do think that if someone was able to download a free copy instead of purchasing Bas' book that that would be wrong and I wouldn't want to release info that would have people getting someones product that they worked hard on for free. Do I think that downloading music is also wrong? Yes, people that work and make a living producing something should not have it passed around for free, wether they rich or not isn't an issue to me, but that's another topic.

If you download Bear Share file sharing programming and search MMA and similiar keywords, you can find tons of vids of fights and instructional videos. I've checked out several of Bas Ruttens videos before going and buying them.
