Peanut butter
Since I am in college now I have basically been eating one peanut butter and jelly sandwich a day, I now find myself wondering if it is really a healthy meal to eat everyday. I use Jifs Creamy peanut butter but actually read the ingredients recently and saw it is made with fully hydrogenated vegetable oils. Does anyone have any recommendations on Healthy brands of peanut butter and jelly brands?

Look for Peanut Butter that hasn't had the peanut oil removed and replaced by other oils. Its usually more expensive but the health benefits are worth the higher price. Most stores carry these varieties. Another option would be to find a natural food store and make your own from fresh peanuts using the in store grinder. But for the most part eating alot of peanut butter isn't bad for you. I once knew a guy who gained alot of muscle just eating lots of peanut butter because he couldn't afford anything else.

i LOVE peanut-butter. Been trying to eat less of it tho, as the one I get (sun-pat) most likely isnt the healthiest. I should see if I can find a healthier brand...I could easily eat a jar of it on its own lol.

best type of oils are: fish oil (both natural or capsuls)...all natural peanut butter...and olive oil.
these food are high in calories...so as youre trying to get down to that last 5-10lbs you gotta really have to measure these food up because 1-2 tsp of olive oil can destroy your meal plan and let 1-2 week go by where you dont lose any body fat, that can make you go crazy cause you dont know why and its just that 1 extra tsp...but as far as nutrient value you do need some fat and these are the 3 best oils

Personally, I love Peanut Butter and it's really, really good for you too; especially in moderation. However, I'm not a big a fan of the "Healthy" Peanut Butters; especially in your case where your using it as a protein supplement/weight gainer to pack on muscle. There's loads of other ways to get the healthy fats and oils, in your diet, why ruin the whole Peanut Butter experience with some so called "Healthy" peanut butter that tastes like crap?

There are several "natural" peanut butter brands available and they are comparable in price to regular peanut butter. They taste just fine these days, especially compared to the few that were made just a few year ago. Regular peanut butter and cake icing both contain the same main ingredient - CRISCO!

LOL...true, true. Reminds me of a story. A friend of mine once told me he was going down on this chick he'd taken home from the bar, and that "it" smelled like hot garbage. To which I replied, "are you sure you were on the right side?"
