Default More heavy bag training questions

Ok, I have read up on a few different threads now, but i have a few questions i need a straight answer on. I've been hitting the bag for some time now. I don't have any real method. I'll do combos for alittle bit, then go heavy hitting, then shadow box after that for a cool down. My questions are:

1) Is that an ok routine for me to keep? Or should i start with heavy hitting, then go combos, etc?
2) Am I going totally wrong??
3) Length of time? I usually go for about 20mins with small water breaks in between before i start my cool down.

I have never taken any real training due to prison time and now, a family. So anything that would benefit me the most to do while at home. Also, any recommended training videos? Thanks!

Use what you know against the bag. You don't need a set schedule, just use what you've got. Once that is happening, the bag will swing. Don't stop it all the time, move around it like it's an opponent and attack it from angles. Try to do this for timed intervals.

Great workout, I hate it =P
