Has anyone tried the treadmill running routine from Matt Hughes webpage?

Treadmill

What it says is a half hour run, starting at 6miles an hour and moving up 1/2 a mile and hour every five minutes so you wind up at 8.5 mph for the last 5 minutes. I do something similar but not as intense. I wind up around 8 usually at the end.

If you need motivation, just imagine there's a country breakfast hovering about two feet in front of the treadmill.

does anyone remember in TUF 1 how they judged a fighter's cardio during the testing phase? they used a very similar program of starting off at a slower pace and then building up to i think it was actually 10mph for the final 5 minutes. does'nt strike me as an ideal workout to do all of the time but certainlyt a good test for anyone that they can use to judge their own progress.
