Tapping Out a Bigger Guy!
I'm 5'11 222 lb guy. I've been kickboxing for 10 years (pro) and started training under Jean Jaques Machado 4 years ago.
The problem is this.
I live near a "Gracie" camp and we all know (I hope) that most people know the Gracie's and Machado's are cousins. So.
Some 6'6 guy from what he described as a "gracie" camp from Manteca, CA...
Got.. Well, I should say to be nice.......Shoulder locked or to put it mildly..
Shoulder broke.
Now he's mad cause he says he tapped. It's training, if he was a true Gracie product, he'd have known to tap before the crack and well.. I DONT CARE! If he got hurt!!!!
Feel bad? Yes. Care? No!

thats a pretty piss poor attitude. you hurt some guy in training and you say you feel bad but at the sametime don't care. i am glad that i don't train with you. anyone who trains in BJJ should know enough to tap when they are in trouble but at the sametime you should have known when you had the submission locked and let go before you did the damage.

couldn't have said it better, there is no need to go " full on " in training... if you know the guy is in pain let go, i mean you already know that just by causing pain that it is an effective hold..... many people are hurt during training and barring accidents there is no need. you should never want to hurt anyone and the lack of remorse sounds to me like you could care less

Sounds like you have an ego or self-confidence problem.
"Yeh I'm 5'11 and I broke a 6'6 guys shoulder,so yeh I'm pretty cool.I didn't even care."
Your training partner is there to help you get better, and you do the same for them. For you to really crank a sub in practice is just irresponsible and classless.
You sir,are a moron.

That says it all. At the gyms I've worked out of, I can't think of a single guy who would say something like that about a training partner, and if they did -- we wouldn't want them around.

yea i agree.... i think this guy is a fake though.. in every post hes talking about who he knows and how hes a pro ect ect ect.. there are some pretty accomplished trainers and or amature fighters around here and none of them talk like that lol...
so yea if your gonna break his arm stop.... and if you did feel bad... i guess thats the moral of the story

I understand that, but the guy was kind of an ******* and he had that "I trained with Team Quest" attitude (although all he actually did was go to a few seminars put on by them). So he sorta had it coming. We always tell people to drop the tudes before the roll, but some guys I guess take a little of something they learned and think they know what's up.

after you "broke that guys arm" you then tried to come onto FF and brag about it.... your sub attempt on the forum was countered by the mods followed by a brutal 2nd round ko

you really need to get out of your fantasy hobby of mma and spend more time losing weight cos 5'11 222 is overweight. MMA is about respect doesnt seem like you have any...maybe you should go ride your bike instead pal.

This guy's gone and we don't have to talk about him anymore, but since you brought up the height and weight thing, he's not necessarily overweight. I have a pretty broad frame -- wide shoulders, big rib cage, etc, and I'm in good shape, and I'm only three inches taller and five lbs heavier but I don't look fat at all.
Or look at Jeff Monson, who's even shorter than this guy, he weighs more, and he's all muscle with very little fat.
