Default Need some Advice

I hate getting caught in guilliotine chokes! It is the most uncomfortable position for me to be. I whould rather give up my back or full mount than be in a guilliotine. Any advice for escapes that put mt in a dominant position. An advice is appreciated.

He tells me to push my head further toward the choke, grab the choke hand and pull my head out, also use my other hand to put pressure on the legs to open my opponents guard. He says if I can pass to half guard or side mount there will be less pressure.

if you're on the ground and the guy has you in guard its tough, you need to get sidemount on the opposite side that the choke is being applied. if its standing and its in tight you can try a takedown and again, move into the sidemount opposite the choke. you can also achieve this by picking them up and slamming them into sidemount.

If he's going to get it from a standing position, just drop guard. Another thing you can do is put your hands on his thighs, so he can't get guard, then roll over top of him.
