Default healthy ways to eat out???

this applies to me for the next week, but also in general... when you cant cook your own food, what type of places can you go out to eat or pick up at a resturant when you have no choice. hopefully foods that are somewhat inline with a healthy diet...
so far ive figured out boston markets turkey deal with a side of veggies...

any suggestions?

I usually grab sushi. Or if you are looking for some good meals go to Whole Foods. Good food. Very healthy. By the way great title for this post. It caught my eye immediatley. hahah

I live on the road a lot, I find most restaurants are pretty cool with fixing you up something to your liking! Once you tell em in advance. Sushi is way to go, but not that widely available in some places

For me? A 5 mile run prior to at least break even.

For starters, we forget that at most places, the fries or any kind of potato are optional. You often have the choice to have salad or a vegetable instead, but most of us lack the willpower to go that way. Believe me, I'm one of those people.

It's also worthwhile to try to eat less. Even if you're going to someplace as bad as McDonalds. I realize it's easy to throw back two Big Macs and a large fry like they're air, but you don't have to. Have ONE Big Mac and a salad, and call it a meal.

Look for places with salad bars, and just load up there. And I said SALAD bars -- not the hot table that has pasta, chicken, meatballs, potato wedges and deep dish pizza as options.

Hit up the grocery store for baby carrots and fresh fruit and nuts, etc to snack on, so you won't be starving when it's time to go the restaurant. If you've fed your hunger throughout the day, maybe dinner can just be soup and a salad.

Oh yeah, another tip from the road is, If you can, try and buy a mini fridge to keep in your hotel room, these are cheap enough and well worth it. Allows you to buy in fish, veg etc. Only problem is finding a place to cook it. Some places will work something out with you, cooking-wise, if you are staying a long time
