Default training advice for upcoming fight

hi everyone, i have my first kickboxing fight coming up in a month. can anyone give me some advice on training? i'm currently working out 5 days a week with 2 days of rest. running 5 miles a few times per week, along with kickboxing workouts & sparring. Should I be going 6 days a week? i feel like my body is falling apart! any advice will be much appreciated, thanks!!

...shouldn't you have a trainer? I'm sure there are a lot of "experts" here willing to give you plenty of advice but you might be better off with a professional trainer on this one.

Stick the jab, hands up, chin down, check the leg kicks.

Oh.

And win.

We don't know you and we don't know anything about you, in terms of your individual strong and weak points, or what areas you need to work on. If you trust your coach and you feel like he or she knows what they're talking about, my advice is to just stick with what they're doing. If you throw it out to a bunch of strangers on the net with indetermined credentials, you could wind up getting terrible advice that messes up your game.

I will say, though, that you need to be careful not to overtrain. You don't want to be strained and exhausted going into your fight. Hopefully your coach has an idea of when you should peak in the intensity of your training, and when you can start healing and recharging in anticipation of fight day.

I use to be a trainging freak, listen to your body you know it better than anyone. Listen to you coach. And most importantly all the traing in the world will do you jack diddly if you dont have the proper diet/nutrition to be feeding you muscles and such for proper recovery. If you dont you are wasting your time beacuse you are damagign your muscles in your workout and you are not allowing them to recover fully. Each muscle group needs time to heal and strenthen before you kill it again in the gym. Good luck man! Let us know how you bout goes.
