Default Running shoes

One more question, can anyone recommend some good quality, less than $60 running shoes? I just use some old Nike's now, but they are starting to fall apart.

Go to a dedicated running shoe store (Athlete's foot or something similar) and see what they have on closeout or on sale. I got my new pair of Asics for about 65 and they've made a world of difference. As far as brands go I'd recommend Asics, Saucony, Brooks (they'll be more pricey), and adidas. Find the one that fits your foot best and don't sweat the price too much. You'll be much happier in a pair of $75 shoes with no foot, shin, or knee pain than if you save $15 and can't walk right the day after running 5k.

Yeah, price isn't as important as having the right kind of support type for your foot and gait. This is a really good 3-part article, and everyone who's serious about running should read it.

we have a chain in the area that specializes in last year's merchandise, i think its called Marshall's. while the selection is'nt huge you should be able to find something for about $35 that would have cost you $75 or more had you bought it when it was a new style.

Marshall's would be a good place to look, or Ross. If you are in the UK try TKMaxx. They usually have a good selection of running shoes for the price your looking for. New Balance is a good brand to look at also.

Or just ignore what I said and you can all wear the same kind of shoe, regardless of the needs of your specific feet.

I had an old knee injury, I went to a physio and she told me to stay away from Nike and Adidas for jogging. She recommended Asics or reebok (I think was 2nd one, i went with asics, and it was about a year ago so bit hazy about the 2nd one
