Anyone know what these annoying cracks my arm and leg make could be?
Okay, some times when I'm practicing the front snap kick with my right leg and I mess up, my knee cracks. The knee is supposed to rise to the height of where the ball of the foot kicks, and this crack seems to happen whenever I don't raise my knee all the way to the height of the snap. It doesn't hurt at all, but it's annoying and takes away from the power in the kick. This only happens with my right leg, and it never happens when I actually kick something, like the punching bag.
That same knee cracks in what I'm almost positive is the same place while I'm riding my bicycle. I don't know why it happens in this case. I'll be riding and then it will start, every single time the pedals make a revolution, my knee cracks. It'll do it three of four times in a row and then I'll stop pedaling and reposition my leg, and then it stops doing it.
Also, you know that warm up exercise where you hold your arms out at the sides and rotate them in a circular motion, making big circles and then smaller and smaller? Well during the part where the circles are big, my left arm cracks right under the tricep with every revolution. It only happens with my left arm.
I've never injured my left arm or right leg in any way that I can think of.

MD, see one (I don't think too highly of any MDs except my orthopedic surgeons to whom I've given loads of business). It's probably nothing, but we cannot xray or MRI through a discussion forum.
My advice, and I feel like a broken record, if you are very active in sports, lifting, outdoor activity find a good ortho. If you don't know where to start, find out who your local athletes rely on - look to rugby clubs, football teams, BJJ/grapplers, etc for a referral.

does it hurt when it cracks?? if not then they will tell you not to worry... they dont do MRIs and xrays unless there is pain or other major abnormalities... both my wrists, knees, elbows and shoulders even crack well over 100 times a day... look around on med boards in the net, you will see that happens to everyone... if theres pain then go see someone... if not they will say its a tracking issue (nothing you can do and is fine if it doesnt hurt) or an issue with a lack of cartlidge in the area ( still not much they can do )
im sure gygax can give you the specifics better, but ive talked to a few doctors about thsi and they all say the same
