it took me a LONG time to see any impovement on my abs... but the only thing that has ever worked that currently has me on a real good track is, ab work outs 3 times a week, (which actually i think is the least important) VERY good nutrition, low fat diet, and alot of cardio and patience to see results... any standard exercises work, but i feel the cardio ( i run and box ) and eating smartly is by far the most imporant

I run a ton and I actually saw improvement just from that. But I also use a weight machine at my gym that involves torso twist and it helped the more outer part of my abs.

the Ab-jab!!! its a gimmicky type of sit-up bench with a speed bag attached. its a great workout and about as much fun as Ab work is going to get. as a bonus you also work your upperbody. there is a thread about it with a link on it in this section. i'll bump it up for you.

This helped me alittle, although i only have about 10% body fat to begin with. Also instead of doing crunches and what not, run in the morning before you eat to much. Your system doenst have alot of carbs in it due to the fact that youve been sleeping for 8 hours or so and you havent eaten anything. Since your body is low on carbs your going to burn more fat, instead of realying on carbohydrates to give you energy to run.

Real good info on that page Irish. Never heard of most of those crunch types before and definitely never though of using those big ball things.

The training balls are excellent. Much better then doing crunches on the ground because your body doesnt only work to do the excercise, but it works to stabilise yourself, or else youd fall off.
