Some of the smaller sub forums merged. Pride and K1 could be added to UFC. Off topic and Arena could be merged.
Just a thought.

I'm sorry, but that would make a gigantic cluster**** of crap to wade thru for fans of just k-1 or pride, like sherdog.

Not a very serious thing, but i'd like to see something in place for post whores. I can deal with people who make duplicate threads because that's easily recognizable and quickly dealt with. But you also have people who post irrelevant things in threads to pad their post count. It's usually the same people driving a thread off topic. They reply to every little thing, often throwing in some humor(often poor humor) and then other people jump on. I don't mind people screwing around, i do it too, but there needs to be a limit. Joking sometimes is funny, joking in lots of threads most of the time is annoying. It gets very frustrating when you have two pages worth of people acting like 5 year olds in between revelant posts.
Basically, i feel posts containing no relevance to the thread should be deleted. And posters who have a habit of doing this should have points deducted. I appreciate that people take the time to lighten the mood here, especially since i'm one of the more serious "on topic" members. But the line between funny and annoying is thin.

^i'm not sure i agree.
sometimes you read something and just have to say something.
i agree that sometimes it sounds off the wall to you, but to the person that "said" it, it might be a legit post.

I don't mind when it's ocassional or debatable. I'm talking about when it becomes the rule rather than the exception. I really want to avoid mentioning specific names or threads. But if you look through you can easily find an occassion where a good thread is sidetracked for a page or more because people started screwing around and that's what the thread became.

I can understand and don't disagree. I think the only advice I can offer is to contact me or another mod if there are specific circumstances. Sometimes a PM on the down-low from one of us can do wonders.

Probably been touched on before within this thread, but how about a weekly/monthly poll where users can rank the top 10 MMA fighters in each weight class? Every member would get to vote only once every week or month, and it would combine into FF's "official" rankings.

Thanks. I do need to remember that. The one time i contacted a mod with a problem it was dealt with before the day was up. It's not a big deal anyways. I just need to vent my frustrations =)

I'd be lying if i said you weren't on that list Duke lol. But with you it's almost a constant thing, so i've grown accustomed to it. It seems to just be in your nature, nothing wrong with that. It does make me want to e-punch you sometimes though =). But e-punch you like i punch my little brother. I think you are the little brother of fightforum, although probably older than myself and many others lol.
And i wouldn't worry about the mod thing, they just stopped taking applications last week if i recall correctly. I'm sure it takes a decent amount of time just to sort through all of it. Not to mention form opinions and then debate them with the other mods. The mods have a lot to deal with, i wouldn't take it as anything personal. I did not receive a "confirmation" reply either so don't worry.

I was just thinking, there are a lot of threads that are games or such (Guess the fighter, word association, the fighter count, etc.). Should those be in the Fight Forum Contests sub-forum?

i was wondering if we could have an actual explanation as to why a member gets banned. for example, im pretty sure i know why someone was banned just recently, but not one single event that precipitated the blow out that led to the ban was publicly sanctioned. maybe this should be in the "no more disrespect thread--that mentions nimmy's treatment (which was, after all, far worse than anyone else on here's treatment), but fails to mention the harassment that many members undergo.

Gygax exmplained why such a list is not going to be made.
Please PM a list of every member who is being harassed according to your judgement.

B-day thread? See someone has a b-day almost everyday on the main page. Nothing wrong with giving out a happy birthday shout.

How bout a fighter searcher thing kinda like sherdog. It would be major hard, but I think thats why we need more mods. (pitbull, duke09, and seikenjudanski) I think this would put more work towards the forum to make it better. There could even be part mod jobs where all you can do is put odds so we can get odds for anything or something like that.

Is there a way to post sound files? Sort of like the youtube thingy, just with sound files instead of videos.
