Default Trash Talking

There have been a crap load of people being banned and warned on this forum to not bash or say any negative things about the fighters. Why can't we? We all have different opinions and are set of favourite and least favourite fighters. Also on other MMA forums you are aloud to post negative things about fighters. I don't get it.

Trash talking will create a division among members, people will take sides, and it can go from there. With so much sometimes that members will begin to leave and make their own forums.

Saying something negative about a fighter is perfectly fine. We do not tolerate it when professional fighters are being insulted, though, that's the difference.

Good: He does not act like a real man would, he is scared.
Bad: He acts like a -ussy, what a -itch he is.

Besides, it is important how much sense the "accusations" make since some guys talk trash only for the sake of talking trash without having a point.

Hope that helps.

i think the main focus of Fight Forum is to provide an atmosphere where intelligent, well informed people can come together and have meaningful discussions about the sport of MMA. Trash Talking should be left to the fighters since they are the ones who really do the fighting. i agree you have the right to criticize a fighter's performance if you PAID to see them fight. there is a saying i like, "don't complain about the job done, unless you are the one who done it."

If you act like a 4 year old, you are sent back to your room.

dont you think people can be victimsied or banned (warned or jumped upon by other members) to quickly? i have seen instances that a person has made a point that hasnt been recepted by other members yet are belittle because of a difference of opinion? shouldnt the aggravaters be warned also instead of people who comment on the performance of afighter

i am not a moderator but i think those who are do a great job at keeping the content of FightForum clean and intelligent. there are alot of threads i see and i wonder why the mods have'nt stepped in, when in fact they have. the thread starter is banned and the thread is locked. the mods have made the rules pretty clear and they have been consistent in handing out warnings and banning people. if you get banned you can't say you did'nt see it coming.

I've never seen a person at Fight Forum wrongly banned. The admins allow hard-fought debates every single day, but they don't allow people going overboard with it. That's how it should be.

If it was any different, the place would be flooded with a lot of pointless topics. Other boards allow that to happen, but Fight Forum doesn't.

The crap load of people who are banned are banned for a reason. If you can point out something you think is wrong I'd be curious to know. As it has been mentioned already we always have good arguments and the ones who bring the sherdoggery will go away and not be missed. Members always get another chance even if you don't see it sometimes they are private requests so that person doesn't feel like someone is trying to make he or she look foolish.

The thing I don't get is why people can't follow rules. Can you tell me why they don't?
