It's about time we get some new contests going...Here is a start :

Who can make the best Signature?

Rules are simple, keep it clean and 600 x 150 max. Signatures can be anything fight related and can be animated if desired. Humor is ok -- whatever will get you the most votes!

Ends Jun 1st at which point voting begins.

Winners will recieve an electroic gift certificate to Amazon.com or a similar online shop. Paypal is also an option.

Photobucket tends to 'expire' images faster than imageshack.. remember to save a local copy of your sig in the event that it exceeds bandwidth at imageshack or photobucket so you can repost it.

Also, make sure that you designed the sig, and they arent from some other source, such as mine, being the banner for the official Andy Hug website

One more thing..for you guys without photoshop.. here is a free open source photoshop like program. There are a few other GIMP users here who will be glad to help you get it up and running.. use the menu on the lefthand side to select which platform you are running and download away

Just to help everyone out also.

If you go to the adobe website you can download a 1 month trial version of CS3, so it should be enough time to make your signature. For amateurs though be careful CS3 has just tons and tons of features so you may want to check online first about how to work a couple things.Seeing as how the program costs 800 cdn you may not want to buy it.

PS If any of you want to buy it and are in school or has a kid in school you can buy it for 1/2 off. Check the site for more details. CS3 is really the best editing software there is.....kinda sounds like I work for adobe lol

Yeah Adobe is kinda of an evil empire, atleast the product is good. I know Marcromedia was a huge supporter of schools and education, the prices my school got flash, dreamweaver etc for was amazing.

I have photoshop, but I have no idea how to use it. I used to use a knockoff called... oh, now I don't even remember what it was called. Photo Studio, maybe? It was like a dumbed down version of photoshop with fewer options, but I still got really good at it and I could do amazing stuff.

Unfortunately, when I switched to XP it was no longer compatible, and I got photoshop. I thought I could figure it out, but I'm lost with all these filters and stuff. I know there are a lot of sites with tutorials. One of these days I'm going to figure it out, because I miss editing images like I used to.

Pretty cool to have this contest. I downloaded gimp and messed with it for awhile but already gave up. I was so lost. I have no idea how to do anything I got the right signature size down but thats it. I give up. Good luck to everyone.

Yeah Photoshop is pretty amazing with all you can do. I have been using it for 3 years and maybe cracked 1% lol

Well since my PC does not currently have photoshop (waiting for the 400$ cdn I need) I have to use my schools. I will post mine on monday I believe, as long as I remember to take the data with me.

With all the people who have posted in this thread already I like my chances of atleats getting 3rd lol.
