Im a big fan of the Omaplata and the Gogoplata. Just because im so flexible, its easy for me, plus no one usually sees them coming.

I have to knew favorte submissions.... One was taught to me from Erick Paulson.... Babalu and Josh Barnett's coach...
Its a standing D'Arce Choke.... You can achieve this off the Muay Thai Clinch or as the Djab as its called in Thai Land. You send a straight knee in and force the head to your stomach on either side. Once you have done this you punch acorss with a cross face with the arm that is on the side of the persons head. So if you put their head to the right side of your body you cross face with the right arm... as you cross face you push the head towards the ground with your left arm... once the head is forced down and your right arm comes across on the other side grab your left bicep and then place your left hand fat on the persons back. then lift like a stand guillotine. Its a lot easier then it sounds. Trust. I am going to try and win the next grappler's quest in NJ with this and the next move i am going to post.
My second favorite submission right now is the Gogoplatta from mount. You can ask the poster on this site P-Unit how effective this is. I set it up by crossing over from side mount. When i lift my knee over their body or slide it acorss their stomach i instantly place it on their shoulder. This gives me a very high mount that is easy to sweep so you have to work fast. Once you pin down their shoulder with your knee you can easily switch into an armbar on the opposite side. Must talented grappler's will see this coming. They will then try to skeleton lock and brace up on their neck to shake you off... if they do this bring your leg over that is not on their shoulder like you are going to figure 4 the arm. By doing this you should have all of your pressure on your one knee that is pinning a shoulder and the other witch is under the opposite shoulder trapping an arm. You then use both hands and push your leg that is crossing the persons chest under their neck as hard as you can. Once you clear the chin, which should be easy if they tried to sweep you and braced up, you then slide your hands under the persons head and pull like a can opener neck crank or muay thai clinch. This will sink this is much tighter then a standard gogoplatta. I like to use this because it works very well against more experienced grapplers and is a bit of showing off. You will get peoples attention with a move like this.

I am also a big fan of the bicycle key lock. First you get side mount. Then you switch to your bicycle guard. This is when you turn your hips to the side pointing your pelvic area towards your opponents head. Once you do this qucikly grab the arm that is closet to your legs and stuff it in but keeping it bent. Lock your legs and hip up. You are now preforming a key lock with your legs from bicycle guard. Hence the name bicycle key lock.

That's a good one too. We call that position Judo position in our academy.

Figure-4 Leglock!
Seriously, though... gotta go with the Triangle Choke followed by the Oma Plata (Everyone seems to spell this differently, so I never know how to spell it)

BJJ I call it the baseball bat. Pretty much for Gi push the right side of Gi under right arm and up behind the neck. Grab the back of collar and try to put your hands together. You thin spin like going towards the north south position and it chokes them out.

I'm not a big fan of the guillotine or the RNC because both are really easy to defend if you're rolling w/ someone who knows what they're doing. I only go for them if there's nothing else available.

1. Straight Arm-Bar from the mount or guard.
2. Rear Naked Choke
Both very basic, but very reliable!

Some new favorites:
Triangle from rubber guard... if you know what rubber guard is then this is self explanatory...
LogoPlatta... much meaner then a gogoplatta. If you grab a gogo you then use your free left to push up on your choking leg instead of using it to put pressure on the back of the head. Eddie Bravo Specail!! Read the book Master the rubber guard!
Failed Chicken Wing Arm Lock into a D'Arce Choke... When the skeleton grip all you do is let go of your frame and lock arms under the head and hip in... locks its self in... super simple!

I've been nailing people with the bicep crusher set up from guard. It's so sneaky, they get so intent on passing guard and reaching side control that they leave the arm in, and then BAM! I got caught with one and it hurt for a month. I had never seen it before so it snuck up on me...hard, haha. I get it with and without the gi, but it's much easier with the gi, gotta love those sleeve grips
