New History Channel MMA Host
A new history channel special this summer will have an MMA fighter host the history of hand to hand combat with a special on Krav Maga, Pankration, Judo, etc. Sounds cool. HEre's the article!

Yeah, I set my DVR a few nights ago to record this show. They will have a Jui-Jitsu show. It looks to be a good documentary style show. The History Channel is cool.

OF COURSE I'm playing out of state this friday, as usual. Gotta catch the Krav/jiu-jitsu episodes. It's amazing, fighting is the cool thing now!

They showed clips of some of the episodes past this first one. The Jui-Jitsu that they will cover in the later episodes was shown as Japanese Jui-Jitsu and not Brazilian Jui-Jitsu. But, I bet that they will either talk about BJJ or they will cover it eventually in some future episode.

I'm so pumped about this show. Kind of irrelevant, but isn't there going to be a new fight science with MMA guys like Randy and Tito. If it is true does anyone have info on it/ know anything about it?

On one episode they're supposed to have some Israeli Commando's fight some MMA guys with modified rules to compare the MMA that Krav Maga teaches and the MMA that is sport MMA. So maybe that's where Couture or whoever shows up.
That is what I am interested in to see the subtle differences in that fight.

This (Human Weapon) reminds me of Rallarsving, a show from Sweden where two guys travel the world and train at different martial arts places.. in fact, this seems like a western version of said show, detail by detail. I hope they got the liscensing down pat.

Not bad, that was a pretty good show. I think it exposed some of the true essence of Muay Thai.

At the end didn't it seem like they were not going hard and were timid against the champion? One of the guys fought pro MMA and hes afraid to get hit? I thought thta whole segment about "going head to head with the champion" was kinda stupid. THe rest of the show was good and that elbow knockout at Lumpinee stadium in the beginning was brutal. That was hard to watch. Overall good show.
