in boxing.........
in boxing im sparring with tons of different people, most of the time i get too spar with the high level boxers at our gym, i am one of the higher level boxers at our gym actually and allot of us have this problem.
We have too spar with begginers and people far younger than us.
a few days ago i was sparring with a kid, i popped him with a stiff jab and his nose started bleeding.....he cried and ran out of the ring!
I dont need crap like that i have better partners too spar with. People that i can actually trade with and expend lots of technique and energy on.
One of my friends that's been boxing there a long time is really irratated b/c he also figures, begginers spar with begginers and better boxers spar with better boxers.
Any other boxers have this problem?

the way the gym is all the better boxers have too spar with guys who cant even touch us.
theres a huge gap in experience and talent.
we go into the ring 4 at a time. All geared up. Then fight the person diagnal too us.One pair at a time.
So like 50% of the time your sparring with a clown

You were a clown at one time too, nothing wrong with helping out the boobies....I mean noobies.
If you and your friend are good then why don't you guys spar with each other?

Heh, he must be 16 since he avoided the question, I'd like to see some sparring matches too, I don't buy the hype.

This thread is bulls**t. You're a kid on a message board who calls himself "Jawshattera", and now you're griping about the pains of being such a talented and experienced fighter. Give me a break.
The pro fighters (both boxing and MMA) who train in our muay thai classes are all more than willing to let whoever they're sparring with set the pace. If it's someone better than you, great -- time to bang and test yourself. If it's someone weaker or less experienced, then it's about easing up and helping him get better. I've only found one guy in the past few months who shows up thinking training equals fighting, and he's there to show off against the weaker dudes.
Both you and that guy are forgetting that fighting is a team sport right up until you're in the ring or cage alone, and everyone's job is to help the other guys on the team improve. Anything that gets in the way of that is ego and cockiness and small-d*ck syndrome.

perhaps when sparring with noobies you could practice the stuff that you are weaker at.....perhaps swith your stance or work on your defencive skills. By practicing slipping punches or quickening your foot movement. Instead of bitching about getting sparring time with weaker fighters try to gain from the experience.
Instead of just trying to see how fast you can bloody the new guys nose try moving in and how to see how differant people react to your skills.

im not bitching, this is a discussion.
Im trying too establish if this is a common problem in boxing gym's with boxers.
There are clearly not many boxers around here.
Also i did not try too make that dude bleed, he simply walked right into a stiff jab and he got a nose bleed.
I usually get bled every few times i spar. I usually bleed people every few times i spar.Just a part of the sport, minor bruises and some blood.
When i popped this kid, his nose started bleeding, then he started crying(keep in mind he was 18.....rediculous). I said sorry and dropped my hands then the he tried too sucker punch me.
thats what i mean by bull****, i weaved the sucker punch and he ran outta the ring.
So needless to say if I happen too have the chance too spar with him again i wont go easy on him.Ill knock him right silly. Unless of coarse he apologizes like a gentleman too me personally for that ****.

I sense you are vastly underestimating the amount of posters who train in some form of MMA.
Things like this happen in many forms of martial arts; be it boxing, BJJ, wrestling, etc. It happens all the time. Everyone is a noob at some point, even you. If you are truly leaps and bounds beyond the majority of peoples skill level, then maybe you should reach out to them and teach them some things. Before you know it, they may be just as skilled as you.
