Default The X-Guard

I don't practice BJJ but its clear that the art has evolved alot since it was first broadcast to American audiences courtesy of UFC 1 and Royce Gracie. There have been many new variations on playing guard but this one has caught my attention more then any other except Eddie Bravo's Rubber Guard. Its the X-Guard and i don't really know much about it except that Marcelo Garcia is putting out a book on it that i will be sure to buy.

The video doesn't work for me. What do we know thus far and when will the book be out?

It's a GREAT way to mess with your opponents base and sweep to a dominant position. There's submissions that you can set up from there too. It's a little advanced, but it's really not that difficult to get to, especially from butterfly guard. It works with no gi...and it's great for arthritis too!
