Has anyone else seen this? I've known about it for awhile now but never fully bought into the idea. Having been into the sport longer now it seems to make more sense. So i ask you. Is it really possible to get 3 grappling black belts in less then 4 years?

IMO hell no not a good one atleast there seems to be a lot of people with supposedly bjj blackbelts people have different theories on what it takes I think it takes a long time personally if its with a good training center they dont just hand them out examples like cesar gracie bjj (which is where I train) nick diaz I believe just got his black belt not too long ago and I am not sure if nate even has his yet and look what they can do my bjj instructor is a top notch bjj guy that just got here from brazil and has placed high in world tournies and he is only a brown belt still so thats just my opinion on those quick type programs.

There's a lot more to being a black belt than being able to win matches. There's no way you can learn the intricacies of such a complex art as BJJ, let alone Judo and Sambo as well, in such a short time. What about the time-honed responsibility that comes with a black belt?

Yeah you can know ALOT of moves and practice them on your GF but that doesn't mean **** till you roll with a guy who's experienced and a wrestler or a strong guy. You have to use real worlk rolling to be a BJJ practionar. (yeah I know I can't spell)

if it took bj penn 6 years to get his black belt in just bjj, and he was probably training nearly every day for a large portion of that, how could anyone expect to get 3 grappling black belts in 4?
