Default BJJ-seminar with Marcos Nardini

Had an introduction to BJJ seminar with Marcos Nardini on and loved it. It was great to watch him demonstrate the techniques and the way each one was done naturally and seamlessly. We spent 2 and half hours covering a few basics and it really sparked my interest in BJJ. My only problem is there's no where near me that teaches BJJ.

If any of the uk members no of any any BJJ instructors close to Stirling I'd appreciate a shout.

Failing that I would appreciate peoples view on how useful Judo is for grappling.

Cheers

I can't help you with the BJJ Instruction but i can say some things about Judo for grappling. It can be used very effectively. Judo's strength is in throws, takedowns and grip fighting. Three areas that BJJ is weak in. Of course BJJ more than makes up for it with superior ground fighting technique. One major problem with Judo is finding good instructors. In many cases Judo is watered down to just throws, with no instruction on the ground fighting that is a part of Judo.

here is a link to a great book on how to use Judo with BJJ.
