This is a vid of two af my friends fighting. The fight is under UFC rules, but they fought three two minute rounds. They had 3 judges set up to judge the fight. One scored the fight 29-29, one scored it 30-29 Jordan(dark hair), and one scored it 30-29 in favor of Mikey(blonde hair). Since the judges could not agree on a winner, they decided to get a majority vote from the other people there(most of which new nothing about MMA or determineing a winner in a MMA fight). In the end, they decided that Jordan won, but since both fighters agreed that this wasn't quite fair, they asked me to post the video on here and ask the opinion of people with knowledge of the sport. So, in your opinion, who won??
um i can't believe i just watched that whole video...
i'm gonna go with the blonde kid. he dominated the first 2 rounds.
however i would DQ him for running out of bounds like a girl in the last round.
so unless he gets a DQ for running out then i think he wins
overall they both need real training. that was horrible

Dude, there 16 years old cut them some slack. Since there are, ummm, absoltely no Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, etc. acadamies within 70 miles of here its hard to find places to get actual training. Both of them are actually wrestlers, one of which has placed in national tournaments.
okay looking at the whole fight one of two things happened one i laughed it looked good for both being very young and no MMA training. Second i would of scored the bout a unanimous decision for Mikey(blond)!
I agree with the 29-29. The blonde kid one the first two rounds with the first round being will close, and the blonde kid dominated the second round. However, I'd be willing to give the dark haired kid a 10-8 round cause except for the shoot, the other kid just ran away and did basically nothing. Why were they stood up, the one kid seemed to have a guillutine choke going? Thought that was going to finish and then they made him stop.
Another point, if you want to do this without proper supervision and use UFC rules, don't allow elbows.
I wasn't there so I can't tell you why they were stood up. The only reason I can think of is the ref was so ignorant of MMA that he had no idea a choke was being applied. I agree that elbows should not be used, and I think that they actually may have not allowed elbows in the fight but I can't be for sure. Thanks for your input.
Man that brown haired kid looks like a kid I used to know from Ventura Californai but his last name was Bryd. This was back in my boys home days,so it couldnt be him.
Well to the guy that said we sucked......ok dude for real we try there is no where to train and the question wasnt "do u think we are good?" no the question was who won the fight.
Secondly they stood us up because jordan just wouldnt let me up. and no he didn't have a guitine(can not spell) he had a loose folkstyle/scholastic style wrestling headlock.
Thanks for watching and also again to the guy that said we sucked.....you can't get better with out doing it? and it is real easy to say some one sucks from a dang computer desk.
Also I think if i just would have been more confident in my stand up the whole thing would have been diff. cuz if i am confident my stand-up really is kinda even with his njust a little worse..
ANY pointers on things I should do better/differently/or just didn't do? If so please give them to me i am open to pretty much every and any pointer i can get because i would like to improve my game to be a complete fighter who is wrestling based than just a wrestler wo knows like 10 submissions.

first off you can't get better without proper training. rolling around on the ground with your friends is not teaching you proper technique.
second, i'm not sitting behind a desk. i'm sitting on my couch. e-thug...
third i gave your friend some pointers and you guys get pissed.
you want advise, take classes. learn from someone that knows. you aren't doing anything to better your self. all you are doing is some backyard wanna be stuff.
my friends and i used to box in our back yard. the difference is we had training.
a few of the hs wrestlers and i used to wrestle at lunch or after school. it's fun to do, but don't expect to get better at it unless you have someone telling you what you are doing wrong.
edit: oh and welcome to FF mikey

I think they guys in the back ground should replace Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan.
"Punch him in the kidneys, he won't wanna jack off for a week!"

Yea but like there is one school arounds and it cost way too much for alot of us to afford other than that the closest one is 2 hours away, Although i have wrestled for 12 years and did get 4th in my state this year as a sophmore..but was highly disapointed and had hopes and opportunities jsut got nervous.
Thats what happened alot of them fight like I got really neverous and was just feeling weird standing Normally when i "train" i look alot better ask the guy that bosted this video. IDK i just am really weird about things. I would love to get fromal training though no doubt and I am currently in the process of begging my parents every day. So pray or meditate or write down or do w/e you do and wish for me. So you want have to see any more bad fights put on here.
I just wanted to wrestle the whole timefor some reason.
Although i will promise the next one you see by me will be more entertaining even if i get knocked out.
Hey and i watch my fights over and over and compare it to other things and look up different techniques for striking, sudmission etc. to try and catch what i do wrong it isnt great but it is better than rolling around and not watching it to see mistakes.
If I were you I'd stick to wrestling for now. It's a good foundation to build on.

After 12 years though you kind of wanna go try other things alothg i love wrestling with everything i have i just wanna try more cuz same ole same ole gets broing i guess? IDk it's hard to say what im trying to say.
Yeah but once you start MMA for a while, you'll eventually feel the same way.
I didn't think it was too bad. The chins were a little high in the air, but the wrestling was pretty good. Good luck in your training.

Can I also say that I hate, HATE, HATE this growing trend of kids having MMA fights in their yards? They don't know what they're doing, the "ref" is just as clueless (possibly more so), and unlike the sanctioned events, there's no medical personnel on hand in case anything happens like someone getting their head split open with an errant knee or getting their eye pushed into their head with a thumb. Keep in mind as well that fighters at sanctioned events have to pass a thorough physical exam, so a doctor can verify that there's nothing wrong with them going into the fight that could put them in additional danger. Maybe someone's got temporary low blood pressure and is prime to get extra messed up if he gets choked out. But oh no -- that won't happen, because you clods watch the UFC all the time, and you're experts on what to do if someone gets choked out and won't wake up.
Or look at that Alex kid who posted videos in this section of his kickboxing matches with his friends. They're fighting in the backyard, steps away from some metal trellis thing.
Fighting belongs in the ring, organized and staffed by trained professionals. I'm gonna come right out and say it -- everyone who takes part in this kind of crap IS AN IDIOT. Straight up.
When kids start going to the hospital wearing MMA gloves and sprawl shorts, it's just giving critics of the sport more evidence to attack it with. Thanks.
