I hope they make the game as good as Fight Night 3. The graphics, the crunching KO sound, the punching control, the movement, the emotions on the fighter's face, on and on and on...but consider how many moves you can do in MMA compare to boxing. The developer must come up with some clever method for striking and grappling control. I have played the old ufc game on my PS2. The ground control movement is too boring, not much variation you can do. I hope they will fix that and take advantage of brand new technology, what ps3 has to offer.

That's definitely something that the old UFC games lacked -- emotion. Just a sense of effort and pain and spirit from the fighters. These days, companies have gotten really good at making video game characters seem like more than just mindless robots going through the motions, and I really want to see that in these new games.

I just hope the game has some depth. I was hoping that you could start a carrer design urself or whoever u want. Then you start on The Ultimate Fighter reality show and work ur way up against no name fighters who the comp. has just generated. During this part of the game you could train and get your stats up to figure out what your fighters strenghths and weaknesses are. After you win the show you would have to build up the ufc rankings. Faster and more impressive wins could bring you to a title shot faster then just Desisions. Then once you dominate your weight class you could try and cut weight or go up. EIther way i hope the matches actually could make it past the first min. Ive played one other ufc game and you tap the person out in a matter of seconds. Just an idea, i wish i could actually have a hand is making somthing like this. least the waiting period will give me time to figure out what platform i wanna buy, all i have is the original xbox now.

yea the matches did end very very fast in the old one.... i tried to challenge myeslf to make it goto decision sometimes... which was very very hard to do

ya usually when i play my buddies in the old pride FC game we would have to make the rounds 5 3 3 for it to go to decision and it would still barely end up going to decision.

They're just in the very early development stage. When they announced the game, they'd done nothing on it beyond some preliminary designs and brainstorming. Sites like Gamespy and IGN were speculating that it would be out a lot later than THQ was projecting, which is standard for most high profile games. So things like individual fighters on the UFC roster will have no bearing on the development whatsoever at this point. I would imagine they're still just looking at identical faceless models trading punches.

i don't think they will have any really new fighters, maybe just the ones that have some wins and that have done something in the UFC....that what they did in the old games anyways.

i wish they would make a dream game... but they wont... a long time ago the wcw did a game wear it was NWO vs. WCW and it had a them vs. us thing going on. I would love it if the UFC did a UFC vs. Pride FC game. Doubt they will. Doubt they will do anything good with the new ownership of pride besides rape the organization for videos and talent they deem worthy while the rest sit in a law suit.

I really doubt a pride vs ufc, because like you said they are stripping prides talent and there will be no one on prides side..

ya but then no one will buy it lol...Has anyone actually heard any new news on this game? Next thing we know it will all just be a rumor that had no substance lol.

i got an e-mail from the ufc saying the game is legit. If you look back it has its own thread in this section.

mma games seem extremely hard to make due to the unpredictability of fights and all the different aspects there hasnt really been a successfulmma game yet hopefully this one is it

The pride one was ok, and so was tapout. Tapout has the stand up down but subs are to quick imo, while pride has an all around mediocre game(ground and standing).
