As I was running around the Sherodg stats I got to Machida from Franklins stat page, Machida being his only loss. Never heard of Machida until then. Here's his record.

Now his last win was in K1 in march of 05, almost a year ago. Who beats BJ Penn and then doesn't fight for a year? Anyone have any more info on this guy? Sounds like a solid addition to any promotion.

Lyoto was being managed by Antonio Inoki, who only works with K-1.. thus you see why his fights are in K-1, Jungle Fight (Walid Ismail and Inoki) and Inoki Bom Ba Yae. Rumors are he wanted to fight much more often and cut ties with Office Inoki, since Inoki is more involved in the puroresu side of things you could venture to say Lyoto's MMA career wasent high on his list of things to coordinate.

Thanks for posting that AngryJonny! Due to my useless work comp I cant view most video's posted up, but I could actually watch that! Was great to be able to see some footage of Ryoto after hearing so much about him and seeing his record!

wow, good stuff. Dominated Bonnar, looked great against Franklin with those punches and that kick. Against McDonald he took it right down which shows he's smart too and then goes on to beat BJ. Man I wanna see this guy in actioin again. His weight is listed at 215 so I assume he mostly fights LHW. With those striking skills and those great take downs, he's the kinda guy that could beat Chuck. Like he did on that vid with McDonald, start an exchange while your close then change levels... That'd be an amazing fight.

Awesome vid, sure makes him look good. I think he'd be a great addition to UFC or PRIDE FC.
