K1 WGP 2007 - Bob Sapp Vs Peter Aerts **Spoiler**
OMFG!!!
Ok here is the PbP, am not joking.
R1 - bell rings, Sapp charges across the ring and connects Aerts with a sumo slam, knocking Aerts to the canvas, ref stops it.
5 Seconds later, Sapp charges Aerts again, Aerts parries, and pulls Sapp into a clinche, LANDS 1 KNEE to the mid section, Sapp is KO.
I feel so pissed I waited for ages through all those fights to see Sapp convince me he is a real fighter. This match lasted around 10 seconds. Literally.

haha, that was funny as hell. He just bulled in looking for a takedown it seemed, then Aerts hit him with one knee, and it was over. BTW that announcer was a goon, hope i never see him again. Semmy Schilt is unstoppable also.

Sapp has had this problem before with body shots. CroCop KO'd him with a left kick to the ribs in K1 once. Im not saying that Sapp is weak in the midsection but it does show how effectively a good striker can hurt someone with a well placed body shot.

It was obvious that Sapp took this one harder than it actually was.. with all of the past stuff Sapp and K-1 have been thru, to me it just seems like hes trying to get out of his contract. Notice how quickly he bounces off the mat once the fight ends.. notice how he didnt have any showmanship of old during the annoucement. Aerts was obviously pissed off at Sapp.
Also, notice how many fans were in attendance.. Amsterdam is def the only place that has more K-1 fans than Japan!!

To hell with Sapp, this is an absolute embarressment for K-1, and if what Aika says actually has any truth in it, then the sob has no honour either. Chasing money is one thing but it pisses me off when it makes the sport you love lose creditibility. How can anybody respect it with fights like this???

After watching that fight again and again I'm sure what did him in. Was it the kick to the liver or the punch to either the eye or the coller bone I'm not sure all the hits happened way to fast.

Whatever happened with the situation with Sapp and K-1? The last I heard he feared for his life cause he wanted out of his contract. Obviously he is finishing it out, but I agree with Aika that he seemed to take a dive to stick it to K-1. A bit passive agressive.
