Wow, the 15 year old K1 Prodigy!
I never even knew this but Hiroya, a fighter for K-1 Max, is only 15 years old! He has already fight in K1, which suprises me. I suppose there are no regulations for age. He is 3-0 with two victories by TKO already. Granted, it has been all three of the fighters he has fought first times fighting, but regardless that is still impressive.
Supposedly, Masato has been quoted saying he is the future of K1 Max.

Fighting professionally at age 15 is not surprising to me. In Thailand, they start much younger than that. A Muay Thai fighter in his mid-20s is considered old by Thai standards. And, Chris Horodecki in the IFL is only a few years older than that 15-year-old fighters. They lied about Horodecki's age to get him into pro-fights at an earlier age. He's old enough now (I think he's 19 now) to fight without fibbing about his age. I think that MMA fighters should start at a younger age with training and ametuer matches. It will help them to be better fighters in their 20s and 30s.

Yeah, your 100% right. Thai fighters start very early, obviously the reason he is ready for K1. The amazing part is that K1 accepted him and is putting him in fights. I wasn't aware of any other 15 year olds in K1 and I don't think it is a common thing. It is well known that Thai fighters start early in their professional careers; however, not to well known for K1, atleast to me.

Yeah dude, Hiroya is actually gonna train in Thailand from what I gathered from the intro of the last MAX show. He has not fought many top tier guys and his matches are special rulesets (shorter rounds, no extended rounds, no clinch afaik)

thats pretty weak when they have special rules for certain people but these kids are very entertaining to watch so far.

problem with this is kids who actually decide to this at that age.
Granted, I totally agree it would make them better fighters since its much easier to develop good habits and so on at a young age

He is currently training under Masato at Silver Wolf. This should be really good. Also, he is fighting on October 3rd at the K-1 Max event. Should be fun to watch.
