What the hell? Dream Content
"We agreed about his fight against Jacare, and we announced the card with his permission. but all of a sudden, Trig told us unilaterally that he'll pull out. so unfortunately he defaulted."

or
Trigg has no idea about the status of the other the fights, he tells MMAjunkie.com ( UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) that reports of his supposed bout with Souza have no merit.
Trigg: "no truth" to Souza report | MMAjunkie.com
something weird went down!

I have read that he is protesting and will not fight for DREAM until they are on HDnet, simply because if american fans cant see it he cant sell triggonomics merch.

its also smart for him not to fight on this card againt one of the top three BJJ guys in the world when he has been tapped twice by hughes and once by gsp with the same choke.

I'm pretty sure I read Jacare confirmed that the match was never signed since he trains with Trigg. I'll find the interview.
With Pride's history of announcing fights that never had a chance to happen, I'm very skeptical about anything that Dream's Pride staff announces. Its something that WVR's Sengoku promotion is already better at than Dream.
Pretty comical how they replace Trigg with an American wrestler with no MMA fights or experience. Ian Murphy is just finishing his senior year at Cal State Fullerton. He competed in the 2008 NCAA's getting bounced in the first round, so how much MMA training has he really had a chance to get. Jacare will likely wipe the ring with this kid before submitting him.

Yup, been there for about a year now. Trigg even mentions that in those MMAJunkie articles I believe.
Edit: Trigg mentioned training with Jacare in a post on the UG. He posted that the only way they would fight would be in the finals of the GP.

No, I'm not joking. Frank Trigg is a good fighter. He took GSP far too lightly. And, Hughes and GSP humbled Trigg severely. I really, seriously, want to see how much Trigg has grown while away from the UFC.
Trigg is a good fighter at 16-6 with 8 TKO wins and 6 submission wins. He has only had two decisions in his career, and he won them both. His six losses came from two TKO losses and four submision losses. That is nothing to be ashamed of in MMA.
Since leaving the UFC, Trigg has gone 4-2 with losses to guys considered to be good fighters; a KO from Lawler (a hard puncher), and a submission to (the WEC WW champion) Carlos Condit. All of Triggs losses have been to top ranked fighters, not to a bunch of nobody fighters.
I want to see Trigg back in the octagon.

Fighting @ 170 is waaay too much weight for Trigg to cut. He seems to have found a nice home @ 185 and if he came back to the octagon, that's where he would fight.

That sounds great to me as well. I think that Trigg has a lot to offer.
