Haha. I saw on MMAweekly they had an article that was making Heath out to be the bad guy and calling him homophobic and stupid stuff like that. I can't find it now though. They have a completely different one that is practically the polar opposite of the previous article.

LOL. Or, Heath is just not attracted to Nakao! Rejection is hard to deal with... It put Nakao flat on his back seeing stars!

I wouldnt venture to say that it would be automatically in public domain just because it was shown on free tv.. lets play it safe for now.

Wow That wasn't even a "I want to hurt you" punch by Heath it was a "Don't do that again!" punch and Nakao fell faster than a ton of bricks!! LOL

Someone had made mention that WTBS is showing fights and that this is one that was on. Anyone know anything about that? I can't seem to find info anywhere.

Some more things to consider:
1- K-1 has a No pay for DQ rule.
2- K-1 has put pictures and used video footage of the match (ie. content)
3- Put 1 and 2 together.
4- Sexual harrassment is illegal.
In brief, Nakao sexually harrassed Heath and got rebuffed. The k-1 then refused to pay Heath yet maintained the rights to the event footage and other forms of content. I think Herring has a case here.

Here you go Unknown and AI.
A larger clip of the entire incident embedded in an English Blog.
K1 Kiss of Death
The homophobic accusations probably come from the comments by Herring at the end.

Interesting point. My biggest problem with it is that they tried to make the fight take place anyway later in the night buy Nakao couldn't fight so they DQed Herring long after the incident. I think that right there should have been a NC because of the time between the kiss and when he was finnally DQed. Plus Herring was attacked (many believe by the Nakao's corner) and that should have at least DQ Nakao if anyone should have been DQed.

Man. Nakao was out hardcore. Even when he sat up he still wasn't there. I don't think that him saying that he isn't gay makes him homophobic. And he did just get kissed on the lips by a guy in front of millions of people on live TV. Most guys in the world wouldn't appreciate that. Herring did overract in my opinion. He reacted naturally but to a lot of people he is in the wrong.

Was/Is there a history between these two? That's not something I think you'd do to just anyone, so I wonder if there was something below the surface with them. Anyone know?

I agree that this is confusing... At the very least they should have made it a double DQ. That idiot, Nakao, did the kissing, and the other one did the punching -- both actions are against the spirit of the rules of pre-match behavior. Physical or aggressive contact between the fighters before a match should be discouraged.
I think that Nakao knew exactly what reaction he would get from Herring. That was not a gay man-on-man kiss to display that Nakao loved Herring! It was to provoke a response. That should be punnished. Even if they DQ Herring only, then they ought to suspend Nakao for improper conduct...
